Can anyone tell me how the rear wheel arch trim is attached to the car on the MG Maestro 2.0i?
When I removed them on mine they had to be unscrewed, yet I have been told this shouldn't be so.
...So how are they supposed to be fitted? :worried:

Does the post really warrant the inclusion of yet another picture? They take a while to download for some people! It's fairly obvious you are talking about the wheel arch spats.
As for how they are held on, i dont see how they would remain attached if it were not for the screws...

All mine have been either been screwed on or fastened with nuts/bolts. Getting the screws/nuts/bolts off is a different matter though :(

One screw on the sill. Two bolts go thru the wheelarch itself, 7 or 8mm heads IIRC. They will be rusty, so you may as well pull it off.

Could anyone post a pic of the correct fittings please?
(Providing that's allowed)

Not this time of night. Dont need photos. Nuts you access from behind the wheelarch. Screw at the front of the sill you access on your knees...

I heard that you could fasten them on with gripfill, avoiding the nut/bolt seizue issue and potential corrosion
I've not got spats on my car but it'd look good with them on, especially with the 6" alloys. I've always shied away from drilling into the body for the nuts/bolts for fear of creating a corrosion problem later on.
