Yet another thing I need to ask about....

My Maestro Turbo's heater fan does not work on any of the speeds. I take it that this means dashboard removal. I do, however, still have the VDP Montego whose fan works on all speeds. Is it just a case of swapping the bits? How many mountings attach the dashboard please and how do you go about repairing the fan?

Whilst the dashboard is out I may strip the car of its rear electric window components! I'm going to be busy.......

Apologies for the post. It seems there is tons of information when I do a search. Anyway, anyone got any further tips?

cheers,

John

Take dash out, pull heater unit forward, solder a link over the terminals on the otterstat on the resistor pack on top of the heater unit. Also its worth removing the cover on the side of the fan motor, where the cables go in, and give it a quick squirt of WD40 or simmiler, if the fan has been noisy or anything, that will keep it lubricated, as J508's was seized when I got it, ut a quick squirt of that soon sorted it out.

Good luck, Rich
