An odd one here-I have a 6 year old PC chair..nothing special, just your average "5 legs with castors, backrest and naff padding" PC chair.

Thing is...it's damned uncomfortable! My work chair is the same. It occurred to me that PC chairs are basically meant more for short period usage, not heavy "PC Sessions".

So..on that note...why don't I make my own using a car seat, thats designed to be sat in for hours under much more stressful conditions and last for years?:D

However..the most comfortable car seats i've ever found were in my old Renault 11..multi way recliners. These cars are getting hard to find though..so..I invite your thoughts on comfy seats from other cars.

The only proviso is that they must be simple to make a stable base for..:)

Any suggestions?

I have often thought a PC chair could be made out of a car seat. My first choice would be Rover Vitesse Recaro seat as it is black, quite slim and looks a bit like a PC chair and it has leather bolsters.

I find the seats in my MG Maestro Turbo quite unsupportive. MG1600 seats are better but very rare and should be reserved for MG1600s

Post 89 Montego seats are better and have a lumber support adjustment.
