Anyone in the forum coming to the FAST CAR/MAX POWER Hot Hatch weekender this weekend at Knockhill? Its going to be one big weekend again. I'm only running one MG Maestro (16 valve) and the scooby WRX because the other (MG Maesty turbo) still has the engine out getting repaired since I blow it up running too much boost (holed a piston, she was in a fair mess inside the barrell)
Anyone thats going come alone and say hello, we're a friendly bunch and are not shy in getting the beers in afterwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)

Should'nt be hard to spot because in the last 3 years at these events theres only been one MG Monty (white one that went on fire) and 2 MG Maestro's (mine) racing on track. We'll be there from Friday night untill Monday morning (racing Sat and Sun).
I'm now kicking myself that I dont have the turbo to race as I've heard Knockhill is having a heat race at 5pm to win a race prepared MG ZR :banghead: shame we cant enter the Impreza into it  (too overpowered for the class they say) Ahh well I have untill Sept to get her (maesty turbo) ready for the next one.........

That could well be Stephen, as he had an engine fire a few years back, and his car is white!. He said he might be there depending on the weather. I just supplied him with some new seals for his carb so he isnt flooding the engine anymore so he has no excuse

Seen him up there on Sunday, didnt get a chance to speak to him though. Tell you what though I dont know how much boost he was running but he had the car going like sh*t of a shovel :) . When I seen it he was out with 26 other cars and the only 1 car that was faster was a turbo'd Nova running around 290 brake :horror: I got told that later on he had turbo problems though, started pumping out loads of blue smoke and had to pit in.
We, on the other hand, had no such luck- 9.30 Sat morning, coming into the hairpin at well over 100 the front N/S wheel studs from the hub decided it would be a good time to break under heavy braking :horror: needless to say I went straight on into the cat litter (again). We got it fixed, new disc and hub from the Monty and back out for the afternoon. Got another 2 races in and this time the clutch plate thought it would be funny to shatter itself :rage: Due to the wet weather (on Sat) we didnt fix it we just put the car back on the trailer
On a lighter note, the Impeza ran fine all weekend thankfully :)

Stephen is still having over-fuelling problems so the car isnt running to its full potential. He is running about 20psi boost

Think I'll invest in a T4 for mine, beacase I was told he was well under a minute a lap at knockhill (record is 54 secs for a Brittish touring car) :)
