Right,
Let's see if we can get this organised...who's up for a Northern convoy down to MGSD on Sunday 04 July?
Rendezvous point I would suggest the (southbound) service-station just south of M6 J19. These services are on the route for Lancashire people to get to, as those joining the M6 from Manchester, Liverpool and further north should already be on the M6 no later than J20. For the Cheshire people it's hopefully not taking you too far out of your way (John Shone springs to mind here)
Rendezvous time? Not sure. I think you can say from J19 there's still about 1 & 3/4 to 2 hours travelling, depending on traffic (and whether you stick to legal speed limits), so if we aim to meet there around 10:00 we'll get to MGSD by about mid-day, which from past experience is when the majority of people seem to turn up (except those living on the door step). It'll also take people like me about an hour to get to J19 anyway as I think I live the furthest north
Hows that sound? Anyone interested?
