I posted on another thread somewhere about my car misbehaving and the wipers stopping working.

I filled the screenwash bottle last night, which was just as well as I got out this morning to find some bird had kindly crapped all over the windscreen. Squirted some screenwash onto the screen, flicked the stalk, and nothing happened.

I started driving with the stalk switched on, and occasionally put the stalk into different positions with no effect, and about a mile into the journey as I was sitting at a mini roundabout the wipers suddenly started to work.

Is there a likely cause, or has my car just been reading the Bumper Book of How to Annoy Humans again?

I'lld check the relay - perhaps the road vibrations are freeing it after a while?

Mine weren't working at all at first as they had not been used for a few months - now they work, but they don't self-park for some reason...

I think theres a cam inside the motor which switches it off when the blades reach park position (I might be getting confused though) I dont know if you can get into the motor to find out or it mught be sealed for life. its easy to get to though so have a look, a replacement from the scrap yard shouldnt be too expensive
