View Full Version : Photograph project

I've seen with interest the photographic archive project on the website - currently there are only two models (1 Maesty and 1 Monty) represented.
It occurred to me that the best time to increase the number of photographs would be when many members of the club gather together in a nice scenic location, such as the BL/BMC day in Nene Park.
Maybe we could make a concerted effort to move any cars (original spec + good condition) to be photographed, one by one, away from the club stand and to a nice grassy, photogenic place on the showground and take a variety of pictures of the interior and exterior.
It'd certainly make all that polishing and cleaning worth while!
What do you think? - Good idea or bad?
Most importantly, what do you think, Jonathan? (seeing as it's your project being gate-crashed here!)
Having said this, it'll prolly rain all day now

How did I know F170 GGT would post a picture of his car??
For once, i'm in agreement here. Almost as bad as Matthew Semple getting a picture of his car on every post.

Now where have I seen that car before... :) There aren't any rules on the posting of pictures, just try to keep it vaguely on topic to save threads taking ages to download (attached images on this forum don't seem to get cached for some reason). I'll be adding a gallery feature when I get the time.
The pictures of Zoe's Montego LX were taken at Standford Hall last year which just happened to be the perfect location. I don't want to photograph too many cars in the same place to give my archive some variety but yes, the aim is to use events to get quite a few of the pictures.

Nope - that's outside RDGelders house when we took it up there on Sunday. I couldn't just nip out and take a pic - I don't have a digital camera and F170 is at the mo locked up in his garage in the next street. :( :banghead:
Only 99 posts until I become 'Senior Member' - isn't it? :)

Yep.
Anyway, Jonathan, would you accept images for the archive taken with a digital camera and in a nice setting?

Perhaps it would be better if you were able to customise your own description, so you can change it from 'Enthusiast' to 'Sad Git' whenever you wanted.....
;)
PS: Stephen, next time you are up my end of town, we can do some 'proper' photo's of F170 somewhere nice if you like.

Sorry, digital photos won't be acceptable. I need good clear professional looking large prints from 35mm. Sorry to be picky but this is a historical record so it has to be done properly. There's much to be said for digital photos but a digital camera capable of the sort of quality I'm after would cost a couple of grand, and that's before you buy the printer.
