Strange goings on with my indicators.....

Hi All,

Its been a while since I have put a post on here, E349 has been running like a dream. But on my way to work one day, I noticed the right indicator light turned itself on.... didnt flash and stayed on for a few seconds.....and then stopped. This happened two or three times in my journey. I have since checked both indicators and the hazzard, and they work perfectly. Whats even more annoying, it hasnt done this since and I cant make it do it!!!

Any ideas what might have caused this?

Also - while i am thinking about it, E349 is running quite rich, can I adjust the mixture at home or do I need a garage to do this? E349 is an MG, 2.0 eFI

Check the connections in the lamp itself, and to the lamp.
I had a rear indicator that either didn't work, or when it did, it would flash without a rhythm. Turned out that water had got into the rear light cluster, and corroded the connections. I replaced the cluster and the earth point to the rear bodywork, and everything was fine. It might have been something briefly loose that caused your problem, so check all your connections are clean and dry.
