Measure the distance from the centre of one wheel stud to the centre of the one diagonally opposite. (this is the PCD, Pitch Circle Diameter) If it is 100mm then most of the modern rover range should fit along with most other makes of car. 100mm is probably the most common size you can get.
If they are 4.5 inches then the choice is somewhat more limited. Rover 600/800 wheels should fit. See my recent post on wheels for my camper van.

An MGF specialist does the conversion from normal maestro wheels to 100mm pcd however I'd doubt anyone would do converters for 4.5 inch to 100mm PCD.

Hyundai Lantra have 4.5 inch pcd, there's a fair choice too.

You can't be trying very hard: there are enough MG Maestros out there with aftermarket wheels, and your Austin derivative has the same PCD and offset as the MG versions. Though it won't be me who tells you which ones fit because I'm not getting the blame for assisting you to mess with that total minter you've got.
EDIT: Just noticed this thread was started over two years ago! Does this qualify for an award for the oldest thread dredged up?
