Hi all,

Just came off the phone with carglass in holland. The whole company has only one spare windscreen (blanc) for a maestro ( 5 doors. should be the same as the van I hope) in the whole of holland :laugh: . My girlfriend told me to sell the car because if I would break another windscreen there wouldn't be any left. (I hope they import once in a while :D )

I hope for you in the UK that they have some more left. It shows again how rare they are in holland.

The maestro van screen is indeed the same as the car one.

When the screen is out check for rust behind it as this is a common cause of the bottom corners cracking, and the only way to treat the usual rust spot on the A piller (the one near the top of the screen) is when the windscreen is removed.

Thanks for the tip,

I intend to be there when they replace the windscreen at the carglass workplace. I want to treat it with novorox (a substance that desolves or binds the rust) when the screen is out. This shouldn't be a big problem because it also is quick drying substance.

Hi all,

Just to inform you all. The windscreen is replaced and there wasn't any proof of rust underneath. That was a bug releive.
