Hi all,
I urgently need a head bolt for my 2L Efi. She is booked in a local garage on Monday morning and I cannot find a supplier yet. Rimmers don't have any in stock and cannot say if they can get any in at all!
The background story is that I changed the head gasket, and was re-torquing the bolts when #3 bolt snapped!
Very very grateful for any help/info!!

I have a good stock of excellent secondhand ones. Which type is #3?

Thanks, will mail you in a min. Here is a pic of where the snapped bolt goes ( I think its #3 on the tightening sequence)
Hope this helps

Knightmare!!!
The garage have just rang and they told me they didn't trust my existing head bolts. Ideally I need to find the set!
Does anyone know anyone who can supply the set?

If they are checked carefully and within tolerance (they have a max length I think), and they show no signs of pitting or necking then they can be re-used.

how do your remaining ones compare to the one I sent you? You normally get 3 or 4 bad ones out of a set, the rest will clean up and be as good as new. I do have more s/hand ones if you cannot find new ones or the price is silly...

Thanks for the replies, but no luck. For reference though, this website is old and unused. I rang the number and that was the response from the chap who answered the phone.

the garage are just covering their work / warranty and most will not fit secondhand bits or mix bolts-its understandable but a pain no doubt-good luck
