As some of you will know I have a HUGE list of mods that I fancy doing to my campervan. Some of which are underway, and here is the progress so far.

I've installed a radio in the camper area in the void above the drivers compartment. In the similar void above the rear doors there is another set of speakers.

I've also fitted a towbar and also a step to the rear of the van top make getting in and out easier. I've relocated the numberplate higher up (as the towbar obscured it and where the plate used to be now resides two HUGE reversing lights. I've also installed a mains electric plug so that I can hookup to mains power when camping.

I've reupolstered the headlining with grey fluffy material, and the sides of the van are finished with black leatherette type stuff. The red round the radio is the same leather type material in red. (I know it is gonna look like a tarts boudoir but I don't care I like it and it'll match the exterior).

There is a variety of interesting interior lighting which I hope to picture soon.

On the list still to complete is:
Reversing camera
Digi-dash
TV
Fridge
PC
van stereo - amp -CD changer -Sub
sink water pump
Engine swap
alloy wheels
suspension lowering
sump guard
and more I've probably forgotten

What do people think so far?
Constructive critisism welcomed

Don't worry both are in hand. Especially the curtains :D YUCK!

Can anyone recommend a good alarm that could be customised for the camper?

Ideally I'd be after remote boot release, central door lock output and at least ultrasonic sensors. It makes bugger all difference whehter it is thatcham approved or not to my insurance so whatever is cheapest :D

I do like that towbar setup. I went to a recent van show and picked up a single running board that I may use for a back bumper unit on my van. When I told some other vanners there about my intention for the board on my Maestro, the President of the NSVA said "That should double the value!" Bloody cheek! :rage:
Anywho, if you want some interior ideas, there are loads of piccies on a certain website that appears after this post!
Also, I am going to be working on the alloy wheels and lowered suspension meself before long. ;)

Front bull bars can be added. I've got a picture of a camper with one. Also rear light guards from a Discovery might work.

I'd considered bull bars but as mine has a MG 2.0i front end I don't think the bars will go with plastic bumpers.

Mmm light guards are a possibility although I'm not sure how I'd damage them as the towbar/rear step sticks out enough to hit anything before the rear of the van does. Certainly something to consider though. I'd also considered fitting later discovery lights and canabilising the rear bumper ones into the van too.
