got my 2 lt efi runing today but it ticks over at 2000 revs,ive taken the tickover screw out but its still at 2000 revs theres no air leaks that i can see and it does tick over evenly, but i am out of ideas help please.

Remove and clean the stepper motor and throttle housing, you might also want to check the coolant temp sender and the 2 big wiring multiplugs under the washer bottle.

turbo mg thanks for the advice,cleaned the throttle housing it was not too bad,the coolant temp is working the revs rise when disconected and the temp gauge stops working,the stepper motor well ,i removed it cleaned it ,reset it and the revs droped like a stone,spot on cheers tony
