Ive been offered a brand new, unused, set of Minilite style wheels, they are for a Triumph TR7, Marina, or Spitfire, the off set is described as 22, and the PCD is 4-95-25, they are 5.5x14 inch. Do I go ahead....are these Maestro dimensions? If so, will they fit ok?

A quick search revealed this (http://www.maestro.org.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=4569&highlight=tr7) thread, which should answer your question.

PCD is ok.
Width is ok too
no idea on the offset or centre bore.

Montego wheels fit TR7's so I guess they should fit your Maestro.

Thanks for that. Chris at Midland Wheel Centre (after googling JBW Wheels, found some cheap Minilites under their "special clearance" section, marked for Triumph Spitfires, Marinas, TR7s, which are 5.5 x 14, Chris explained they are 22 mm offset, and the standard MG Maestro (mines a 1.6L but they are all the same presumably) is 30 mm which is says "is from memory but they should fit."
So, if the wheel should be 30mm offset, and the new wheels are 22mm, what does that do the track, we are talking near half an inch a side here.

You're talking 8mm... 1.6cm either side. I'm guessing 3/5 of an inch in total. Shouldn't be a problem I don't think.

Yes TR7 wheels will fit ok. I have a TR7 and one of the bonus's is that I can interchange wheels. The 22mm offset is fine and normal for aftermarket wheels for Maestro/Montego. You'll gain 16mm wider track overall.
