Can someone tell me what turbo's MG put in Maestro's and Montego's? I had a look but cant see properly with the car on the ground (didnt have time to take the car up to the garage and get her on the ramps)

Its just my mate at YUG-SPEED had a garrett T3 and a garrett T28 (used on escort cossie) for sale very cheap so I bought them. If they are no use then I'll just sell them on ebay but here's hopeing i can use one at least......... ;)

Cheers guys

Thanks for that, do you know if a differant turbo can be fitted. What I mean is, can a bigger turbo be fitted to get more boost pressure?
I would like to run about 16psi boost (if possible)

cheers

Yes you can, although you can run up to 16-17psi on the standard turbo anyway.

A bigger turbo will flow better and produce less heat but the side effect will be a potential for more lag. The ideal turbo would be a standard turbine with a slightly bigger compressor wheel made to fit the standard housing, and an uprated bearing, with a custom exhaust elbow.
