I need a wheel for a 700 series van but am having a no luck finding one. Does anybody know of any other vehicle wheels that will fit this model or a breaker nearby that might have one. I live in somerset. :banghead:

Blimey! I have a whole set! The spare has an unused tyre on it to boot. Somerset seems a bit far from Oxfordshire though. Do you know of a good courier, or would you be prepared to travel?

Rover 600, 800, Allegro, Maxi, Princess have the same stud pattern I think...

As you probably already know the 700 van has rather odd wheels. They are 4.5 inch PCD. The 500 vans are 100mm and are easy to find.

Ah. Is that 100 mm the same as the cars, or something different altogether?

Maestro/Montegos are 95.8mm PCD I seem to remember.

Let me know how you get on as I fancy fitting rover 800 alloys to my van.

The 500 vans have 100mm PCD which are used on most of the newer rover range, (and a lot of the more inferior brands :D)
The cars are the odd size sharing wheels with only the MGF, and some older triumphs etc.
The 700 vans have 4.5. inch PCD which is used on the 600 and 800 I think, which is what I'm after for the van if the offset is correct.

That's left me wandering. I now have the front hubs and ventilated brake disks fitted and also have some calipers I salvaged from a Monty turbo in a salvage yard some while back. Should I just press on with this option, or go for something suggested above? I was pondering the idea of Rover 800 hubs and brake sets as well, or am I making like a dog up a tree that isn't right?

Erm if you have changed the front hubs I'm guessing the front and rears are now a different PCD? that will mean you have to carry two spare wheels!

I don't know whether 600 or 800 hubs/brakes will fit but it might be worth a quick look to see as some 600's had discs at the rear and I'm betting 800's did.

All the 600s and 800s have rear disc brakes. 620ti, 623 and all autos have uprated bigger brakes at the front, 282mm I think....
