I was planning to spent about an hour or so today getting the car ready for its next race, but it turned into a full days work costing more money :banghead: put new discs and pads on her, that went fine done in about half an hour (both sides) then went to replace the rotor arm, distributor cap and leads. Trying to get the rotor arm off I found it was siezed on and the whole shaft and everything came out from the cam :horror: . I got lucky though Rover had the parts in stock so 4 hours later I was standing in the driveway with the camshaft in my hands and on comes the rain :banghead: loads of swearing later I got it all back together with new timing belt, oil and filtter, and ready to go (I thought). She wouldnt start :nonono: loads more swearing and stomping about (and wet to the skin) it turned out to be a bad earth........ :rage: .....got that fixed and she went first time :) then the rain went off
So my 1 hour track prep went from 9am to 8pm and cost nearly £200......
Its times like these I wonder is it all worth it but that soon changes when the car is on the track and running good and fast (hopefully)
