I'm putting on a new back end exhaust on my 1.3, but it is stuck!!!!!
It still has about 1-1 1/2 ins from fitting right, but it stops short from being driven home in the sleeve and therefor I can not get the rear rubber support on.
Any ideas as it needs to be done tonight.
Cheers

Give it a good smearing of copper grease, on both sides of the pipe. Should help it slip right on

I cut mine cause i think they sold me the wrong box ..the end of the pipe that goes into the down pipe was the same size so i made a sleve with part of the old pipe and cut about 25mm off the new one and slid the old pipe into the new one ..if get what i mean!!

Sounds good but the back pipe has a split in the sleeve already. Now if I cut that off will the pipe still fit???

Too late...emmmmm...yip!
I cut one bit off, used copper grease and used a rubber mallet to drive it home. It was only about 1/4 inch out so I forced the rubber holder in.
Not the best way to treat a new exhaust, but ey there we have it.
It's strange as the pipe came off my other Maestro no probs at all (two twists and a pull), it was fitted only less than a month ago.
Many thanks for your help.
