The infamous Plymouth - Dakar rally has sprouted a new challenge - M2M (Metro/Metro/Montego to Murmansk) this summer.

I have purchased a 1984 Maestro 1.6L as attached for the trip. I am not familiar with the pros and cons of this model. If anyone has any advice on how to get this lovely old car to Russia and back please let me know. Any advice on particular spare parts to take would be very helpful. I might even be interested to purchase these spares through this forum. Thanks!
