Depends what your after Oli, maniflow used to do a performance maestro system for each of the engines .Basicly its only where it joins the front pipe thats different. Their website doesnt list the maestro system but im sure if you give them a call they could make one for you. If you want it a bit louder ask them for a bullit box on the rear.
Janspeed did a system which I think is NLA and also a rear box only one. Also you could try moto-build. or if you are on a budget simply buy a cherry bomb type silencer and a reducer, a length of tube for a tail pipe and cut out your rear box! If you go for the maniflow option that will give you a couple more BHP and look/sound a lot classier!

I'm not sure if only a change of the back box with change much at all. On my old LE the back box broke, so I removed it completly. It was very hard to tell any difference!

I'd look at removing the middle box - when I fitted the Big Bore 2 from the shed (you know the one, Oli!), it didn't make a slight bit of difference, so I put the original back box back on - could you get an original middle box and gut the insides? Trying to keep it cheap!

Replace the middle box with a cherry bomb (or even a straight bit of pipe!), and it'll be a lot louder. The back box on the 1.3 maestro really doesn't make a lot of difference in the standard system.

just drill random holes in it especially in the downpipe!

Or don't bother as it will always sound a bit weedy, it is after all a 1.3 accept it for what it is!

Get a better engine if you arn't happy. Poor old A series how could you mutilate it so!!

Nothing wrong with a Mini Cooper S sound-a-like :) . The sound has character as well as some extra decibels - but when I did this to a Mini 1000 (god, that sounded good around town!) the "beats" of the exhaust noise versus road/body noise got a bit wearing on motorway trips :( .

A friend's Apple2000 had a cherry bomb fitted, and while it sounded good with the window open the noise was always - unendingly - droning away inside the car (whether windows were open or shut) while it was being driven. Ruined the experience of his car for me, but he liked it :) .

I put a straight though Formula Ford exhaust on my mini 1300 once. Sounded great, until you booted it and then people would stare it was too loud! ( I was young)

'all that noise and no power'

Is what they were saying, and they will if Oli does the wrong thing. My T16 is a little too loud still. Every now and then I see people looking, they seem to look puzzled as they see a very innocent Maestro.

'that sounds blo*dy powerful, is it that maestro??!'
