Its actually on my metro ,but same theorys apply. Just replaced master cyl and both front callipers (rear cyls done last year) and I cant get a decent pedal. Order was OSR, then NSR the NSF (lowes first then top) and OSF.
tried using vacuum bleader then old fasioned up down etc but still the pedal is crap :banghead: All parts are new

Crack the nuts open and bleed from master cyliner first. You sometimes can get an airlock at the master cylinder.
Get someone to push down on the pedal till fluid leaks from the nuts at this point tighten so no air is sucke dback into system
Let us know how you get on

Hi Russ
The Metro is not generally problematic to bleed, but the order is N/S/R then O/S/R then N/S/F lower nipples both together then lock those and bleed the top one. Then do the same for the O/S/F. Are the rear drums adjusted properly.

Thanks for the replies chaps, the drums are adjusted fine. Everything was ok until the old master cyl started sticking. I rebuilt it but it didnt last too long. So I got a new one and a apir of recon calipers as the old ones were sticking a bit.
I will try your ideas in the morning. I dindnt realise you had to have the 2 lower front nipples open together

Found the fault ,I think. outer bleed nipple on NSF caliper doesnt seat ,blood recon unit too. Now I have to wait until tuesday for a replacement. And to top it all looks like HGF on ZR, keeps loosing water again!
