Ever wondered what was number 1 on your birthday? Alternatively, type in your car's registration date to see what song was in the charts when it was registered.
I got 23.11.94: Baby D - Let Me Be Your Fantasy
D.O.B 12.04.84: Lionel Richie - Hello

"Travelling in a fried-out Combi...." Brilliant!
Well on Lynz's Build-day, the number one single was "China in your hand" by T'pau, and the Album was "whenever you need somebody" by Rick Astley. Remember him?

Hah! I got Gloria Gaynor - "I Will Survive" (23rd March 1979)
Sharing it wit:
1949 - Ric Ocasek ( The Cars )
1953 - Yvette Marie Stevens ( better known as Chaka Khan )
1966 - Mark McLoughlin ( better known as Marti Pellow; vocalist, Wet Wet Wet )
1968 - Damon Albarn ( vocalist, Blur / Gorillaz )
Haven't checked when my cars were registered. Huh, just found out that my sister shares her B'day with Sir Pau McCartney!
Great site.

Four dates for me:
My birthday (21/06/69): The Beatles - "The Ballad Of John & Yoko" (well that could have been much worse: "Two Little Boys" by Rolf Harris was a hit that year as well)
When G51 was first registered (26/01/90): Kylie Minogue - "Tears On My Pillow". FFS ! I'll have to dig-out its AR and Tickford built-dates to see if I can get better results.
At least there was a half-decent song at number one when I got married (19/04/97): R. Kelly - "I Believe I Can Fly"

I guess it just goes to show how the music of the era can evoke memories and moods. I've just been on the retro chart area of the site and memories both good and not so good come flooding back...

Let's see...that makes you now either 28 or 12...wonder which it is :)
I've just looked up G51's build-date and Tickford dates.
AR build date 24/10/89, No 1 was Jive Bunny - "That's What I Like".
Tickford build date 21/11/89, No 1 was New Kids On The Block - "You Got It (The Right Stuff)"
Jeez, they're even worse than Kylie's cover-version of "Tears On My Pillow" (at number 1 when G51 was first registered).
No 502 just doesn't have any good musical dates associated with it. No wonder its speakers are crap. They made the music of the time sound better
