Cool! Ours isn't racing (busy having the gearbox rebuilt), but we'll be there to cheer the rest on.

Let's just hope it doesn't get as wet this time!

I've only seen 2CVs and Legends in action once before, so looking forward to some more of that too. The motorsport on offer is well worth a look if you can make it to at least one round this season, always a laugh, well driven and the drivers are a nice bunch too.

I've just come back after a great day at Oulton Park. It was fantastic to see the ZR160 being intimidated by less powerful Maestros (I assume they're not highly tuned). I looked out for Muddle and fellow Maestros in the car park, saw a white K-reg clubman spec one...anyone here? It would have been great to see some Turbos on the track but I assume they're not as durable/more expensive to race. I reckon the Turbos would have been a fairer match for the ZR160. Thanks go to Kelvin Fagan for the free tickets. I was with my dad, not my brother and was in the cafe area for a while. Looking forward to the next outing!

I'm glad you enjoyed the day out! Very good racing from start to finish. The 2.0 Maestros aren't very highly tuned, but you can do practically anything to a 1600 race car! Ours is having the crownwheel and pinion from another spec gearbox putting in at the moment, and Muddle's sitting in the garage pending taxing, so we were in Sam the purple Mondeo :o

Most of the ZRs seem to be in the Mayflower and MGCC series. There were 2 out with the Maestros last year, and only one has appeared this year. It's good to see the Maestros giving the newer machinery a run for its money, and I think had Andy Campbell's car not expired and Paul Naish not almost "done a WBM" and gone rallycrossing at Fosters, Nick Golhar would have had a harder time keeping the Z in front.

Hope you can make it to some more racing this year - we certainly hope to not let the side down and get ours out in the near future!
