Hi Guys. Thanks to a local prat (see seperate topic) there is now a crack in the front bumper at the top and along at lower level. It's an insurance job, they've admitted full liability.
Getting a replacement bumper will be difficult, esp where I live.
I've heard that repairs are possible with a hot weld plastic (specialist process) and possibly buttstrap welded on the back to reinforce.
Anyone aware of any 'approved' professional methods of repair to cracked bumpers ?

Alternatively, any perfect front bumpers about for an MG Maestro ? !
Too wet today for pictures, but will take some when it stops p***ing with rain !

On the website of Rimmer's new Maestro bumpers are listed in the 'Sales' section at reasonable prices. Should be easy to get one...

Thanks threelitre - looked and they appear to have stock incl the MG. I'm amazed !

Are the maestro plastic bumpers 'generic', ie same on the MG ? I think there is a lower section on the MG - removeable ?

The lower section is just screwed onto a basic plastic spoiler. You might need to save the red inserts from the bumper.

Victor has a set of red bumpers that were modded from a stro.

Yes they were smoothed but you'd need both front and back for it not to look ridiculous.
