Theres nothing wrong with a good 'Name and shame' but you cant release his/her address or contact number without their consent.

There maybe someone local who will think they are helping by confronting them.

I know as it happened to me on another vehicle forum a long time ago and the post was 90% made up and my do-gooder visitor felt a little bit embarrassed to be on my door step.

Yes you can and it is well within the law for this person to be named and shamed. It is only if an image is released without a warrent or a police interest being attached.

If this person has taken money or goods with the intent to make good an avoidance (The formal statement of theft is..'taking property belonging to another with the intent of depriving the other of it, the thief and strewn will be constrewed accordingly'

NAME THIS PERSON and help save not only the good name of ths forum but the save the knock on effect that our international friends will no longer trust or have business with us.

Are you sure on the image bit? I was under the impression that so long as the images were taken in a public place then there was nothing that the other person could do about it. I'm just curious thats all.

That is true, if the image is not being used for gain,reward or with conitations of a perverse nature, with certain exceptions ie the arts, you can take a photo and display it but not to comprimise that person.

In this case an offence has been alleged to have taken place, but as the publication of an image may alert the person committing an alleged offence and who may take flight, it is always better not to do so until the authorities have exhausted all avenues open to them and the assistance of the public is sought. (but this is only in certain cases)

Internet fraud is, in this country a criminal offence which is punishable with a fine and or imprisonment.

To be honest with you....if you want to do something about it...then just do it.
Name the cad....complain to the admin....contact your local police and they can take it from there. DO NOT STAND ON CEREMONY....simples!!!!!!!!

There isn't really any need for redy.montego to name the person, since it is easy enough to work out who the person is. I identified the person when the first post was put up, and this has been confirmed by the two subsequent posts by redy.montego.

FIRST OF, I HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE
circumstances beyond my control have forced this siutation!

THE FOLLOWING HAS BEEN PM'D TO CHRIS Y AND REDY.MONTEGO

First of all my sincerest apologies for the matter, however as explained to redy.montego before he sent me the parts, i am on a very low income as i am only recieving incapacity benefits and that i would send him the payment asap, unfourtunatly things have come up where i have been in hospital due to my incapacity and havnt had the money. this was explained to him and i also told him that i would send him the payment as soon as i could, as it happens the payment will be with him by the end of next week, i rather hoped it would not come to this as i did explain the situation to him twice already. unfourtunatly i dont have internet acces unless i visit my daughter which happens to be today and therfore i have not been able to contact him in order to let him know the recent circumstances.
I had, as i said, hoped it would not come to this however this notice came from nowhere after i explained to him the situation. i was as shocked to see it as you are.
I will of course be notifying redy.montego that he will recieve payment by next week.
