You have thirteen bids so far but your starting bid of £1 was very low!
Are they 5.5" Maestro wheels?

No they are the 6J ones from the Montego, slightly wider

So they are not Maestro wheels? Advertise them as Montego ones.

I could advertise them as Montego wheels but they will also fit the Maestro as well, the fact that they are 0.5 wider doesn't really make much difference, there's no difference in the pattern, the two sizes look exactly the same and, if they fit the Meastro, I may get more people interested in them! :p
And anyway, I only found out tonight they were 6J by looking on the back of one wheel when I was cleaning one, cos to look at they looked like the 5.5 ones on my MG, so I amended my ad.

The rim of the Montego wheels stand proud of the lattice spokes whereas the Maestro wheels are flush. they are quite easy to tell apart.

But shouldn't the 6J wheel be better than the 5.5J?, and perhaps more appealing to Maestro owners due to it's slightly wider track?

I agree - my MG Maestro Turbo has the 6" wheels and I have never understood why they weren't standard on the Turbo. You can fit wider tyres on them as well. I have 195s but you can put 205s on them also.http://www.angelfire.com/home/mat99v/500badgeplace.jpg

That looks like a nice Turbo you've got there Matthew, I'd love to have a go in one of these to see what they're like, being an old RS Turbo fan I like something with a bit of poke in it and my non turbo MG is nothing outstanding and a bit boring!
Do Maesty Turb's suffer from Torque Steer a lot mate?

Do Maesty Turb's suffer from Torque Steer a lot
In standard form yes they do suffer from it but not as bad as its reputation. My car (picture below on 6x15 MGF alloys) suffers very little thanks to my uprated suspension set up. I also have considerably more power than a standard turbo (200bhp/220lbft) and grip is much better than in standard form. The fitting of the wider 6 inch rim helps with high speed stability also, however i feel the reason for them not fitting the 6 inch rim to the Maestro was because the arches are not as wide as a Monty's and the smaller rim also makes the steering slightly sharper.

True about the Monty's they do have wider arches so that was probably good enough reason for Rover to put the wider wheels on them, torque steer is notorious in the RS Turbo and a found myself in a sticky situation or two when I first got one, a typical problem in a lot of turbo cars with that sudden surge of power, glad the Maesty doesn't do it too bad.
BTW that is one very very very nice Meastro Turbo :)
