chipped turbo???

can anyone tell me if by fitting an ignition ecu from a efi in to a turbo will make the turbo quicker????

You need to swap over the in built map sensor i have been told. has anyone tryed it?

AFIK if you put the efi ecu on a turbo you will end up wth problems. Now im not 100% on this but in the past was lead to belive that EFis had vacuum advance whereas the turbo ecu was set up for pressure retard. I remeber putting my efi ecu on a mates turbo and it pinked like hell.

that what i heared, which is why the map sensor needed swapping. I think it may have b*****ks. thinking about it i heared it from RSM:eek:

EFi ignition ECU causes my Turbo to pink badly on boost. Turbo ECU on an EFi doesn't seem to make a right lot of difference.

I doubt whether changing the ignition ECU alone would ever increase the speed of an MG Turbo.
