That car is up for sale again. Originally £1100 then £995 - now reduced to £850! It is being sold by a trader and the price is moving in the right direction so as he has put "ono" I expect there might be some room for negotiation.
I know from experience that paying a hundred quid or so more for a mint example will save you thousands in bodywork repairs compare do a rust bucket.

Being one of the rarest models, and in that condition, I'd say that Maestro is worth every penny of £850!

F170 GGT - perhaps your dad should replace his Astra with this car instead.

 I wish. That would be impossible sadly. It's not safe in our area, and mum would moan about it not being a Ledbury one!
Oh, and it's too far away. :(

I have a Toad immobiliser fitted to my 1600 and I think they have about 100,000 combinations as well as Thatchem category 2 rating to keep the insurance premiums down.
It has a flashing LED and I have the stickers in the window and I always put my Stoplock on the wheel and so far so good.
non-MG Maestros are just as likely to be stolen if they are not fitted with modern anti-theft devices baecause joy-riders go for soft targets like the Metro 1.0 because their owners think that no-one would steal them.
