Seems to be the week for it, two of our cars have been bumped and no details left this week. Grrrr.

Ring round the windscreen places in your local yellow pages for a few quotes they often vary dramatically. I had quotes ranging from £263 to £75 for my windscreen. You can guess which one I went for! :D

Yes if I ever catch who did it I will give them a mouthful of this :rage: :rage::censored: then :shoot: them

On a lighter note, we are on the look out for a new rear passenger door now for the Rover 214, not sure what the actual colour it is, except its blue. So if anyone spots one on ebay, or in a scrapyard around South Yorkshire area we would be grateful if you could let us know.

Sorry to hear the vandals have been at your car this week as well Beetroot. :(

Grrrr :rage: You were unlucky it was just a pebble - Rich gained a nice ornamental concrete duck when someone deliberately put a nasty 'quack' in his window...

I agree with E_T_V - prices seem to vary hugely. However, can I ask why not go to a scrappy? You'll probably get a replacement for about £10-15 and it's not too much of a job to fit it. Go on - you know you want to! That approach also has the added bonus of you being able to rust-proof your door while the door card is off.... (assuming you've not done so already)

Good luck

As I said in one of my last signatures, "Welcome to Salford, where the finest of building materials are carefully placed inside your car via closed windows, free of charge."

I can sympathise with you, as dad's Astra had the windscreen and two side door windows stoved in, and the windscreen again, this time accompanied by the demolition of the front house window.

It really does get my angry, and I just hope for the sake of the vandal that nobody tries it with one of my Maestros.

:shoot: :rage: :censored:  :nonono:

There doesn't seem to be a great amount of Maestros in scrapyards in this area, but there is one on Langley Road South if you know the Agecroft area, Beetroot.

geez,it aint good is it? i managed 7 months in salford before owt got done to it. now got a fresh winda, the RAC guy said when he started, he used to keep the rocks that had been put through the windows in the hope of building a rockery in his garden, but i think he could of built a house! i havent got my car totally fixed since the last time it got nicked (back at home), steering column is knackered so i have to fettle the wires to start it and ive just remembered the speedo aint working as that got damaged too! scrap yard shopping this weekend for everyone!:o
