Ok Me again. I resently purchaced a set of turbo Bumpers for my Maesty, one is green and th other is white.

Two Questions here:-

how do you tell if guenuine? (Off of a real turbo?)

what spotlights should be fitted to the front?

Lucas DX95 driving lamps, but they are special in that the brackets are the other way round to ther DX95's that you used to be able to get retail. They can be modified to fit though. There is also a foglamp variant called an FX95. Other rectangular shaped driving lamps can be made to fit the bumpers too.

The front bumper,if genuine, will have proper moulded mountings for the driving lights. The GRP is also thicker, as is the gel coat on O.E bumpers.

Hella Comet 550's are direct replacements for the Lucas lamps but are now getting harder to find aswell.

It may not always be the case that the Fibreglass is thicker on the genuine articles. I remember buying a set of replica turbo side skirts for my car and found these were in fact made from a thicker fibreglass than the origionals.

A lot, I will hunt around for some pics a moment.

If you have a look on the Kool Art website, the maestro sports an evo kit.

Personally I am not too keen on the EVO kit, but then it is up to everyones individual preference. Its definitely good to have the choice tho'

Are the twin headlights/conversion panels available seperate, only i reckon the rest might look a bit O.T.T on the van.
But the twin headlights, i reckon they would look pretty good.

You can get the Headlight conversion kit from a company called CCM. They are basically the same as the HJW ones.

Hello BIGLAD and E_T_V,

We currently have the moulds for the HJW mk2 quadheadlight conversion as pictured on Craig Bennetts black Turbo.

Craig will tell you himself that the one`s Hector developed were a bit flimsy to say the least. Therefore, I am in the process of devloping the MK2`s further and add a bit of quality to them. e.g. proper adjusters and thicker buld holders.

However, Set`s of standard MK2`s are available.

Frames/bulb holders £100
Frames/Bulb holders/Bulbs £150

MK3`s will be better quality and sturdier, but will also cost more to reflect the extra work involved.

Please contact myself for any queries.

That's because I read the threads from top to bottom - then when someone asks a question I respond. After responding I then spot another thread where someone else has also responded so I have unwittingly duplicated a post :banghead: ...like so:

What about this for genuine Tickford?

http://www.angelfire.com/home/mat99v/500Tickford.jpg

It is one of only about three non-original bits on my car but it is a genuine Tickford badge as fitted to Tickford-bodied Auctralian V8 supercars. I bought a pair in Cairns, Queensland. :D
