I changed rear bumpers yesterday after the hole in the plastic grew (noting to do with that bollard :banghead: ). But IS there an easier way to remove the rear wheels than using the back mounting bracked with a jack and using stands on the rear crossmember.

I don't know if the suspension is saggy but we had to just another jack to get the wheels back on in the middle of the car as the suspension was just so low.

All in all the job took 4 1/2 hours due to those bloody screws in the wheel archs and the previous owner leaving a leaking 5 litre bottle of oil in the compartment in front of the spare wheel (from the back of the car):censored:

I thought you could reach the side mounts from underneath without removing wheel arch trims.

If using a trolly jack I quite often raise the car by the bracket that the rear shock etc mounts in, then use a stand under the jacking point.

I found my estate was "bendy", I was told by a mechanic I used to work with who was trained at the local Rover dealership that the monty estates had to go on a 4 post lift because if they used a 2 post lift the car flexed so much they could not shut the doors with the car in the air.
