Hello everyone, can anyone advise on where to get a stainless exhaust for a 1990 MG Maestro 2.0i?

Thanks,

Neil

Not sure if anyone supplies them off the shelf any more. Moto-build may still have one. I'll need one for my turbo but am planning on having one custom made 'while you wait'. There are qite a few companies do this. Do a search to find one near you. I have a couple in nearby Macclesfield, 'Tube Torque' and 'JP exhausts'. Not cheap though, expect to pay about £300.
That reminds me, I have a good used, but surface rusty part Janspeed exhaust for a Montego 2.0i. Could easily be wire brushed and painted with heat resistant paint. Think it is the back section with silencer and loopy bit over axle. It has 'Janspeed England' stamped on it. If anyone wants it let me know, but you'll have to pick up and open to offers.

After last post, I've had the odd enquiry about the Janspeed. It is only part of a system and looks like I must have cut the ends when removing. I thought it was the back box but not sure! All I know is that it is definitely for the Montego and it was on my car for about a year. It is rusty but not rotten and I reckon has got at least 2 years of life in it. As I have cut the ends and cannot find the missing bits, whoever wants it will have to use it as part of their own custom system. Can't be worth much, but will take whatever you think it is worth as long as you pick up! First to say they want it can have it for what they think it is worth! See pics. I'm still trying to work out which way this section goes!

I'm pretty certain we have a brand new system for an Efi/2.0i Maestro in the shed, possibly a Janspeed or PCS, he may part with it as one of our 2.0i's is going to be scrapped and the other is going to be an original spec, so i'll ask him and see what he wants to do with it?

The MG 'M' Group have an arrangement with a supplier that do stainless steel exhausts for all MG 'M' cars with a 25 year guarantee. With the club discount they work out not much more expensive than OE mild steel exhausts.

All the details are in one of the back issues of Forward! but feel free to PM me if you cannot find them.
