well i not sure if it is a problem or not but once the ledders has warmed up it seems to run a lot faster than i like it to i had the mixture done at the mot and the idel was reset. it also seems to be using a hell of a lot of petrol latley what could this be ?

What's the mileage? I remember on F170's original engine, after a thrashing down the M61>East Lancs carriageway, stopping at the lights, I found it to be idling too fast - but it also sounded like all the pistons were rattling loose in the block! :o

If it is a good, tight engine but just idling too high when warm, it could be that it has been tuned previously when still on choke and/or when not warm enough. Should be a simple task of just backing off the mixture when you know the engine is at running temperature (off choke). Sounds like it's far too rich, to me.

Failing that, it may need a de-coke...

It will tend to use more fuel just due to the fact it is idling too fast, easy enough to just slow it down and recheck the mixture. Also check the choke fast idle cam is not dry and sticking, holding the throttle open, if it is lubricate it with high temperature grease.
