I left the fuel cap from my Maestro Van at a filling station by mistake :o
I have found another which is a perfect fit, but it is marked 'NON VENTED'
Does anyone know whether the Maestro Van needs a VENTED or a NON VENTED fuel cap please?
Well mine is non vented and works fine. - not to say that is correct, though.
IIRC the tank is vented.
Funny that... You aren't the first to have done that.
I left an MG Maestro fuel cap at reading services :D

Thanks for the reply Oli :)
I lost the key before I lost the cap :o
But I was surprised how easily the cap came off by just pushing a large screwdriver in the keyhole and turning it. Then could re-use the cap using the screwdriver as the key.

I wanted to get a key cut for my van fuel cap as I only had one and two sets of igntion keys.
I went to the locksmith place and they couldn't decide what blank to use so they sent me out with a couple of blanks to see which fitted. I returned and told them that I didn't need the key cut after all the blank opened the cap!

The locking fuel flaps on Nissan Bluebirds were the same: you could open them with any key you could find or even the handle-end of a fork.

If anyone wants one I have a locking, vented fuel cap which is apparently for a van (sold to me in error when I wanted one for the car).
