Do you mean you are after a turbo, or are you after a full engine or are you after a car?

Also there is no such thing as a TDi for the maestro/montego.

yes quite...iam after a turbo for my maestro TDi as the seals are f***d on mine and its burnin oil like a wood burner!
I dont have the money to get the old one recon'ed......:giveup:

Perfectly feasible. There are very few parts to a turbo, which is why they are generally reliable. Ideally you should get it balenced afterwards however many people just mark it all up and assemble it in the same place and get away with it.
