Yes, it will. Loss of gas-speed in the exhaust system will cause a loss of power, mixture variations, and carbon monoxide poisoning if its leaking into the cabin, so get it sorted;)

The effects of a blowing exhaust are more pronounced the closer to the engine the hole is. My hole in the tail pipe is so insignificant I don't worry about it.
