t16 conversion??

dont worry im not wanting to start pulling my maestro in bits but i was thinking of buying another and doing a t16 rover turbo conversion.
i have been told in the past the block is the same so mounts in same and original gearbox mates up.
what truth is there in this?
ive done alot of engien conversions in the past but all vauxhall and ford. never a rover/mg

i done a t16 conversion just click on my name then search my topics i've started

T16 shares the same basic block design as the M16, O series, L series and perkins prima and they all use the PG1 gearbox so are relatively easy to swap around. The K series engines are quite different though.
