Does anyone recall the website that had the new grey fasteners used to locate the headlining, two or four as I recall are needed and I know for sure I had seen them in the past on a webpage but it was some time ago. Just wish I had got them at the time. I reckon I can save the headlining material but if not does anyone know where I can get anything similar.
Could do with a pair of good sunvisors anyone? :banghead:
Any help appreciated, don't want to go another year without one. It lets the side down.
Cheers

Hi Mate,
Theres quite a few posts on here about this job.
I did my Montego a few months ago, got the material from Woolies (search online) and I was very please with the service they provided.
Top tips-
Wait for the glue to go tacky before bonding the two surfaces, and be careful cleaning the old backing - I used a shoe polishing brush to remove all old material / foam.
Heres one of the links..

Good luck. Luke

Started mine today. My biscuit is not polystyrene or fibreboard, it's CORRUGATED CARDBOARD!! Struggling to evenly brush the adhesive onto the foam.
May post pix in due course.

Mine went back in the car today. With hindsight aerosol adhesive would have given a better finish as brushing over the foam was a nightmare, leading to greater absorbtion where the brush was loaded and flattening of the foam, resulting in low spots.
But at least I can now drive it without fabric draped round my head and I no longer need a crisp packet for glue sniffing!!

You put the glue onto the "biscuit" rather than the foam. It is a lot easier to brush it onto that.

Jeff, with results like that you should have a little sideline on the go. Is that new material used in the pics you attached?
Will give you a call during the week anyway.
Cheers

As it is a contact adhesive, the advice is that you put it on both surfaces and leave it to go tacky before joining the two.

Aerosol spray is much better but you use 2 cans for the job.
