Does anyone out there have the spec for Montego wheel stud spacings, centre bore size, and the offset needed?

I'd like to fit alloys to my Estate, but just wondered if the wheels off any of the later 4 stud Rovers would fit, or in fact whether any other make of car will fit.

TIA

I have a car with later Rover 200 style X-spokes on, presumably fitted by some muppet. They fit - just - but the inside of them had to be ground down a little to fit over the hub centre. Maestro PCDs are slightly odd - can't remember the exact measurement, but it's on the forum somewhere if you do a search, and it's the same as MGFs but not the later Rovers.

95x4mm PCD for all saloon, 100x4 mm for a van.

The estate has the same measurments as any other montego or maestro except the van, MGF wheels also fit with a small (5mm) spacer on the front.

Trumph Hearld wheels also fit.

Heh, don't think I'd find a set of Herald wheels, even if I wanted to fit a set ;)

Interestingly, I used to have a B reg Maestro 1.3 and bought an A plate MG Maestro 1.6 for spares... the wheels didn't fit due to a different stud spacing.

Thats got to be wrong, i fitted B reg 14 inch cheesegrators to my A reg 1.3 and didnt have any problems.

Is the 1.3 maestro a car or a van? IIRC the van has 100mm PDC, the cars are slightly smaller.

I sold some MGM wheels to a chap who had a kit car based on a Hearld.

*shrug*

It was a 1.3 base hatch, and having bought the MG for spares, jacked both up and removed a wheel from each - different PCD.

In the end I repaired the MG and 'enjoyed' 18mpg round town!

Ooh interesting developments. As I'd been advised that the Van was 100mm PCD I got a set of rover 200 alloys to fit to it. However today whilst I had the wheel off I thought I'd check they fitted and well they don't. The PCD of my van is 115mm (ish). Any ideas why and what alloys will fit?

The stud spacing is not different. I have fitted 14" cheesegraters, 14" dish alloys and 15" lattice alloys to a 1983 1.3HLE. The reason they did not fit is that the nuts are different. The holes on the alloys are much bigger and you need to use the two piece nuts with the spinning pieces that protect the softer alloy metal ad you tighten the nut.
