I am having problems removing the bolts that hold the seat belt stalks between the two front seats in. I can undo them for about 1/2 inch then both have jammed up, no movement left or right. I can't see any lock nuts from underneath. Anyone had this happen before?

Cheers

This happened to me a while back - patience and WD40 cured it!

Any idea how big these nuts are? I don't think I have that much patience. I have already busted a ratchet, a box spanner and taken more than my fair share of skin off my knuckles!!!!

About 2", not much more.

Lay it up with WD40 Or plusgas release agent and also spray it underneath too and if you can ge tto it easily wire brush em. Once laid up get 17mm ratchet and extension bar and it should come out.
Good luck

2 INCHES?
the nuts are 2 inches!!
Think you mean the length of the bolt;)

Easiest way to remove is to rescrew them back in, then out a bit, soak thread in PlusGas (not WD40 crap), leave, soak again a few hours later, then leave at least overnight.

Then heyho, just like magic they'll unscrew:D, but do it the 'unscrew, screw back in, unscrew way' - if you don't sure as hell the bolt will snap:mad:.

That's what I had to do too. Trust me, this will work. Do it dry and you will snap off a bolt and you will have problems extracting the remains...
