hello,
as far as i know the fan (ont radiator) doesnt work, i did the thing where you connect the wires so the fan works on its own and it doesnt work. (sorry thats obvious!) the car has more of a tendancy to overheat in summer and in stationery traffic than when running. i notice that the fuses keep blowing out every time the thermostat gets to the orange bit of the meter when the fan is due to kick in. i put a fresh fuse in (of the same type) and it blows again. anyone got a clue what it could be. (sorry for sounding like a dumb ass!)

Have you thought of replacing the fan?

Another VERY common problem. Remive the grill so you can get access to the fan. Apply oil to the pivot and turn it by hand to free it. I'm betting it is stuck. Spin it till it is free turning. Then bung in a new fuse and try it again. Leave it to spin for a good couple of minutes to free off and apply a little more oil as necessary. If that doesn't work get a scrap fan and replace it. I've freed off 3 now no problems so give it a go.
