Hi
was watching the Millies (Sun newspaper military awards) on Sky tv last week. One of the winners was the couple who set up the Help for Heroes charity. This got me thinking how some cash could be raised for this very worthwhile charity which supports our injured servicemen and women.
Would anyone be interested in doing a sponsored coast to coast run say Hull to Liverpool.
The idea would be to gather at a suitable location say the Humber Bridge and drive in convoy to Liverpool on the M62 with a stop midway at one of the service areas to show our vehicles and rattle a few buckets and then onto Liverpool to form up for a mini car show and again the chance to rattle some buckets.
I was thinking perhaps a charge of £10.00 per car and £2.00 per adult passenger, with the event being run say sometime in the first two weeks of May before people start going on holliday and when the weather should be reasonable.
If there ws enough interest on here I might also post it on Triple m and the MGM sites
so what do you think?
