...this time it's R514 RVJ. :banghead:
Front washers work fine, press button for the rear washer, whizzes, no water on window. Open tailgate - and it p:censored:sses out of the slats on the inside of the tailgate itself.
Am I right in thinking this would be the rubber tubing popped off the nozzle?

Either that or the tubing is split. It quite often splits where it exits the tailgate at the top of the boot. If it is broken here it can be awkward to fix. If it is broken inside the lid or popped of then it'll take 5 mins to fix.

I've noticed that on the Parkway (Ledbury) Maestro, the tubing exits the roof into the tailgate on the left, whereas on the older cars, it was on the right... this isn't split though.
I will take off the plastic panel from inside the tailgate and have a look later.

Well, i would have thought that as the car was once Left Hand drive - that is the reason for the tube to be on the wrong side. Concidering its age - more than likely the tube has come off the nozzle - try taking the plastic panel off and have a look...

Alternatively.....Remove the wiper and fill the hole - voila - problem solved!

Hmmm...another one of my many soap-box rantings. Of all the ridiculous laws our successive Governments pass, under the umbrella of making cars more safe, they've yet to pass the glaringly-obvious one which specifies a statutory requirement for ALL (new) cars to be fitted with rear wipers, so that on a really bad day you stand at least a remote chance of seeing through your back window!

When that happens, all you do is pull the ends out a little, trim them square and use a right angled washer connector elbow to join the two broken ends. Job done! The pipe might have slipped off the nozzle because it has hardened at the end. If this is the case, trim the end a little (basically trim the flared out end off where the nozzle bit went) and dip the end of the tube into a cup of boiling water straight from the kettle. This makes for an easier to fix joint that is also more secure.

but I drive a lorry all day so I use my side mirrors, far more information comes from these than the rear view mirror.
