Hello Guys, 1989 Diesel Montego - Anyone had to renew their Core Plugs? Can you get them ok?
Best way to get them out? Best way to get new ones back in?
Anyone know where to get this special adapter tool for a dial tester for injector timing please.
Thanks in advance Cheers Steve.:toothy: :hat:

The core plugs that I have changed have usually rotted through from the inside, so you can just push a screwdriver in the corroded part and lever it out. Putting them in I use something like blue hylomar round the edge and lightly knock in with a soft mallet.

Thanks for your info Gary, there seems to be a lack of info on the product shown with your link. Do you possess such a thing yourself?

No sorry mate, but I have used the Rover tool that is made by churchill. The tool pictured looks like it will do the same job, (ie. screw into the back of the pump and hold the dti gauge) I thought you could ring them for clearer info.

cheers gary :)
