Welcome to the Maestro & Montego Owners Club Online
Formed in 1999, the Maestro & Montego Owners Club has worked
tirelessly to further its original aim of promoting the use and preservation of
Maestros and Montegos as an important part of our motoring heritage. We have
grown steadily as a Club both in terms of membership and in the range of
benefits and activities we offer to our members.
Membership is open to anyone who owns or has an interest in Maestros and
Montegos of all varieties, regardless of badge or body style. Today, the Club
has over 300 members of all ages, worldwide. We believe that a car club is about
so much more than debating the ins and outs of carburettors, gaskets and fuel
additives and this is reflected in our lively events and feature packed
magazines. With limited support and numbers on the roads in constant decline our
aim has always been to help members to get the most from their cars and to make
the experience of owning one even more enjoyable. The club essentially aims to
take over from where Rover left off with the Maestro and Montego.
One of the most valuable benefits our members enjoy is our professionally
produced and printed quarterly magazine.
Monstro is packed with news, features,
advice, event reviews and helpful tips. Written by members and full of carefully
researched articles to suit every area of interest, it's the envy of many other
motoring clubs. Further benefits include discounted insurance, an ever expanding
stockpile of otherwise hard to find parts and a varied social calendar.
The Maestro & Montego Owners Club is affiliated to the Federation of British
Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) and the
Federation of Austin Clubs. We will
continue to work closely with these organisations and other clubs to oppose any
legislation that threatens our cars or our hobby in the future. As a member of a
club, we can ensure that your voice is heard.
If you own a Maestro or Montego, or just have an interest in all things Austin
Rover, then this is the club for you! Join us and you can be sure of a warm
welcome.
